Quality restoration and repairs
Custom Soda Works specializes in the restoration of classic soda machines from the mid-1940s to early 70s.
Based in Michigan, Pat Pixley operates Custom Soda Works and offers consultation as well as repair and restoration work. Pat has owned more than 80 soda machines and has fully restored more than a dozen.
His first machine was a Cavalier 96 (right) from the late 60s or early 70s. The machine required polishing to renew the shine, a new light and a fresh coat of paint on the compressor. The earliest model he's restored is an S&S 700, a Hunter's beverage ice cooler (left) from between the mid-1940s to mid-50s.
Pat bought his first machine in 1996 and then began collecting wall-mount bottle openers and tin signs. He's been hooked ever since.
"The best part is taking a machine that was a sad case and bringing it back to life like it was when it was first built," Pat said. "Then it's all new and shiny again."
